Paragana is SBM NMIMS’s flagship business festival, and the theme of Paragana’23 was “Indian Agenda: The Global Quarterback – Unlocking India’s potential in the global business arena.” 

Our focus, at SRF for the conclave was “Empowering Backward/Rural Communities to Maximize India’s Business Potential." The ultimate aim was to bring together industry leaders from diverse fields such as agriculture, agri-tourism, architecture, and education to share their insights and experiences with future leaders in India, highlighting how empowering rural communities can uplift the nation.

The esteemed speakers for the event included:

• Mr. Pandurang Taware, Director, Sales & Marketing at Agri Tourism Development Corporation, discussed ‘Sustainable Agriculture and Agribusiness.’

• Ms Pornima Buddhivant, Founder & Director at Karv Sankalan, enlightened the audience on ‘Rural Tourism and Cultural Preservation.’

Followed by the Panel Discussion which consisted:

Discussion aligned around ‘Digital Inclusion and Skill Enhancement for Empowering Micro-Entrepreneurs,’ providing deep insights into the challenges faced by micro-entrepreneurs and how digital literacy can bridge existing gaps, which allowed to gain valuable insights considering the significance of rural tourism, the unique human touch it offers, and the importance of preserving rural culture.
