LEAD TO SPEAK
Social Responsibility Forum, SBM, NMIMS, in association with State Bank of India conducted "Lead to Speak", an elocution competition, as a part of the Vigilance Awareness Week. The event was a reminder that we as citizens of this country have an equal part to play when it comes to its management. The event garnered registrations of about 600 students from more than 300 institutes across the country. We were honored to have Mrs. Vijaya Aiyar, Director, State Bank Institute of Learning and Development, Mumbai during our final elocution round, held on the 30th October. With over 30 years of banking experience, she gave innumerable insights on key topics such as vigilance, the increasing role of technology in banking and cybersecurity. As Barack Obama has said, “Change only happens when ordinary people get involved, engaged and come together to demand it”, it was inspiring to see the finalists speak passionately on topics that probed everyone to rethink the way we see corruption, integrity, and our role in the system. We would like to thank Mrs. Vijaya Aiyar for taking out the time to provide her wisdom. We also want to thank our esteemed judges, Santana Pathak Ma'am and Ritesh Haldankar Sir. In a neck-to-neck competition, Agarwal and Himanshu Keshari emerged as the winner and runners up respectively. SRF congratulates them and all the finalists who made it to the final round!
