NTPC ELOCUTION
SRF conducts Elocution in partnership with renowed firms in order to provide platforms for the young generation to voice their concerns. While stimulating the ideas of both speakers and audience the event also promotes the development of English speaking skills in terms of pronunciation,delivery, voice modulation and all other components of good speech.
This time it was conducted in partnership with NTPC. It aimed at fostering a corruption free society through the spoken words. National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in association with Social Responsibility Forum, as per of the Vigilance Awareness Week, presented an opportunity for young management students to express their thoughts on the social evil of corruption.
The campaign garnered over 450 pledges from the student community. The first round was conducted on 30th of
and consisted of participants giving extempore speeches for one minute on various politics, public policies and citizen behaviour among others. 10 participants made it to the 2nd round of Elocution. The panel of judges include eminent professors from NMIMS, and Chief Guest from NTPC, Mr Ravindran K. The participants then spoke for 3 minutes each on the topic. "The world will not be destroyed by those who are corrupt but by those who who watch them without doing anything ". The judges were left spellbound with the passionate and thought-provoking oratory of the speakers and this was reflected in the feedback they gave. The audience also received an opportunity to speak for 2 minutes on various topics during the Table Topics round. The audience response was heartening with topics such as ' My Vision Corruption Free India' , 'Corruption Starts at Home' and a few others.
