Child Rights and You (CRY)
Social Responsibility Forum conducted a social project in collaboration with Child Rights and You (CRY). CRY is one of India's most trusted NGOs and connects the entire society with its chain, starting from the corporates and gets the value transferred to the less fortunate while CRY is at the epicenter of it all.
The aim of the social project was to enable the smooth functioning of Public Action Groups and aiding CRY in effectively carrying out its community outreach programs. 50 students were chosen as volunteers for the one-month project which was conducted in November 2020. CRY had collaborated with SaltScout and designed a mask with them. The volunteers facilitated in spreading the message about the same and assisted in selling these masks. Further, they prepared creatives for the recruitment of new volunteers and fundraising for CRY. These were in the form of posters, videos, and stories that created awareness about the organization. Additionally, they created educational videos for the children at CRY on various topics. Thus, the project focused on helping children thrive in these testing times of COVID 19 and ensuring that their growth and education are not disrupted in any way.
Kotak Education Foundation
Kotak Education Foundation, a part of the Kotak Mahindra Group, gave 14 students of NMIMS the opportunity to work on Project Umang. The UMANG team at Kotak Education Foundation is responsible for incorporating technology and bringing online learning to students during the lockdown period. Under this project, students had to interact with the underprivileged directly and conduct classes for them. These classes revolved around developing spoken English skills for the child while enhancing their overall development.
